Neotech Trackside Support Debuts in the USA — Live at Buttonwillow Raceway Park
Buttonwillow Raceway Park has always been a place where lap times are earned, not given. It’s a track that quickly exposes weaknesses in setup, driver confidence, and consistency — which is exactly why it was the perfect location for a major milestone for us:
Neotech officially delivered our first-ever Trackside Support service in the United States.
To demonstrate how the program works in the real world, we brought out a highly modified Honda S2000 and ran it exactly the way a customer would: drive, collect information, service on-site, and return to the track with a better setup.
What Trackside Support Means (and why it’s different)
Track driving is dynamic. Weather shifts, tire conditions change, track grip evolves, and driver confidence improves as the day goes on. A “good” suspension setup in the garage doesn’t always stay good once the car is doing full-speed laps.
Neotech Trackside Support is built around one goal:
Reduce guesswork and help drivers get faster with a damper setup that matches the track, the car, and the driver — right now, on the day.
Instead of going home with notes and waiting weeks to make changes, our trackside process is immediate and practical.

The Trackside Process: Drive → Data → Rebuild → Faster
At Buttonwillow, the workflow was straightforward and repeatable:
1) The car goes on track
We start by sending the car out exactly as it is. This gives us a true baseline and reveals what the setup is actually doing at speed — not what it should be doing.
2) We gather data and feedback
We review the driver’s feedback (confidence, balance, traction, stability) and the car’s behavior through the session. The goal is to identify what’s holding lap time back — whether that’s mid-corner support, braking stability, rear traction on power, or overall control over bumps and curbing.
3) We rebuild the damper — trackside
This is the difference-maker. Neotech can rebuild and adjust the shock on-site, changing the damper behavior to match what the car needs. It’s not just “clicks and hope” — it’s proper trackside service focused on measurable improvement.
4) Back out on track with an improved setup
After the service, the car returns to the track with a setup that’s closer to the driver’s needs and the conditions at Buttonwillow — helping unlock more consistency, confidence, and speed.

Why This Matters for Lap Times
Lap time isn’t only about peak grip — it’s about how confidently and consistently a driver can use it.
A damper setup that matches the driver and the track can help:
-
Improve stability under braking
-
Increase mid-corner support
-
Boost traction on corner exit
-
Reduce unpredictable movements over bumps/curbs
-
Make the car easier to place and repeat laps
That adds up to the most important thing on track: confidence. And confidence becomes speed.
The First Step of a Bigger Mission
This day at Buttonwillow wasn’t just a one-time demo. It was the start of building real suspension support culture in the USA — support that shows up at the track, works alongside drivers, and helps them improve through proper service and tuning.
If you’ve ever felt like your setup is “close but not right,” or you’re stuck chasing lap time without clear direction — this is exactly what Trackside Support is for.
Neotech is here to support drivers where it matters most.
