Where heat is the limit. The EVO Series shares the forged aluminium caliper construction of the NF Series and changes the two components that decide how the kit behaves once it is hot.
What changes
Forged titanium pistons
Titanium conducts heat far more slowly than steel. In a brake caliper the piston sits directly behind the pad, which means it is the main path by which pad heat reaches the brake fluid. Slowing that path down raises the point at which the fluid boils and the pedal goes long.
On a street car this rarely decides anything. On a car doing repeated hard stops from speed, it often decides everything.
Silicone seals
Silicone holds its properties across a wider temperature range than standard rubber. Paired with the titanium pistons, it keeps caliper behaviour consistent when the assembly is heat-soaked rather than merely warm.
Rebuildable
Both series are rebuildable — seals and pistons are serviceable rather than the caliper being a throwaway assembly. For a kit that will see track use over several seasons, this is the difference between a service item and a replacement purchase.
